{4 Weeks to Christmas} Gift Wrapping

Countdown to Christmas

Less than a month to Christmas! Countdown is getting real now! We are in the final stretch of our school and sport commitments and the countdown to Montagu is happening and gifts are starting to be wrapped.

I think it was last year that I started using brown paper to wrap not only Christmas gifts but gifts in general. There is so much you can do with brown paper, some ribbon, washi tape, stickers or stamps!

I was in Typo the other day and they had a special on stamps so I grabbed a few and decorated a gift for school this morning and it came out so lovely. Such a simple thing but it makes such a difference. I like this idea of personalising each gift.

These ideas are also very elegant and pretty. You can use any colour paper and go crazy with the decorating.

This looks a little bit like effort but I think it could be well worth the effort. It would be nice for someone who is going to appreciate the wrapping and not rip it open on Christmas Day 🙂

I am seriously considering this one! Possibly for the teacher gifts. Type have some little decorations on special that would work perfectly for this!

Those pegs are adorable! So think i’m going to try make some. Right now with the boys, the funnest thing is to wrap their pressies in the cheapest paper we can find and watch them tear into it.

We did brown paper last year – using all the Christmas washi tape I seem to collect and ribbons to decorate – it came out lovely. I have another idea this year – will post about it. But its also plainish and cheap.

There are SUCH a lot of great ideas out there but I love brown paper and ribbon, or recycled gift paper.

I wrapped my secret santa gift in gift wrap from last year and one of D’s presents too. My mother’s which has gone to PE this weekend is also recycled paper from my birthday (gold and white, with a red ribbon).

And of course I LOVE gift tags – I make my own usually from any nice bits of cardboard I find, but every year I also see some nice stylish ones on the internet (check my Free Printable goodness board on Pinterest)
