“The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul.” — Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Creativity is a big part of what we do. Sometimes it is simple creativity like coloring in and other times it is more elaborate like painting a canvas. It doesn’t always have to be elaborate or difficult to be creative, all you really need is some paper and crayons and you are good to go!

Having a printer when you homeschool is one of those must-have items. Something ALWAYS needs to be printed. The Canon Pixma printer is not just any, ordinary printer, it is the printer you need if you like to get creative!

We received the Canon Pixma printer a few days before lockdown started and I am SO grateful that we did. It allowed us to do so much while we were navigating those early stressful days.

This isn’t the printer you get for the office to print contracts and reports but it is the printer you get if you want to print photos and other creative projects. One of the best parts about this printer is you can connect it to your Google Drive, Facebook, Dropbox and OneDrive and print projects and photos directly from there. This means you can go into your Facebook profile, select your pics and print, in a few minutes.

The printer also comes with some really cool templates installed. You can print patterned paper, graph paper, bullet journal paper and more directly from the printer.

A few more of the features of the Canon Pixma printer!

Pair style with substance in this multifunctional model, which boasts 6 individual inks (including Photo Blue), a 2-way paper feed and SD card compatibility.

*Scan to cloud and scan to email only available for genuine Canon ink users.

Impressive imagery

Print lab-quality images using Canon’s FINE technology and enjoy longer-lasting photos with up to 100 years of album life thanks to ChromaLife100 ink.

Craft and create

Turn designer with Easy-PhotoPrint Editor, Creative Park and the Nail Sticker Creator app, and experiment with double-sided matte, iron-on, magnetic, restickable and square media.

Clear control

Enjoy easy operability with an auto-tilting 10.8cm colour touchscreen, complete with simple user interface, and connect smart devices at a touch of a button with Wireless Connect.

Canon Creative Park

The best part of receiving this printer was discovering the Canon Creative Park. The creative team at Canon have put together a whole bunch of projects for you to try out. There are so many different projects for you to try out from educational projects to projects you can use as home decor. The possibilities really are endless.

We decorated for Easter using some of the Easter projects they had and printed some really cute Father’s Day cards for David. But we have only scratched the surface of the projects available.

I have saved so many projects to do with the kids and I have incorporated some of the educational projects into our homeschooling. The “spot the difference” worksheets are really cool, Emma loved doing them all.

We are enjoying this printed so much and it has allowed us to be even more creative.
