2023 At A Glance

“Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.”
— Hal Borland

1. What did you do in 2022 that you’d never done before?

Mmmm I don’t think I did anything I have never done before.

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I didn’t really have resolutions but rather goals. They weren’t really achieved but the year didn’t exactly go as planned so there was a lot of change.

3. How will you be spending New Year’s Eve?

Games day with the younger two kids and David followed by movies. (Probably asleep by 9h00).

Yes, my closest friend Ansie passed away.

5. What countries did you visit?

6. What would you like to have in 2024 that you lacked in 2023?

Consistency. 2023 saw a lot of change and instability. I am not a fan.

7. What date from 2023 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

The day Ansie died and the day we got an email letting us know Kiara had received a bursary.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Leaving a work situation that was becoming very toxic for me.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Not leaving the above situation sooner.

Fortunately I did not.

We had solar installed – GAME CHANGER!

Stressing over stuff I have no control over!

16. What were your favourite TV shows?

Schitts Creek and Grace and Frankie.

17. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
