1. What did you do in 2022 that you’d never done before?
Mmmm I don’t think I did anything I have never done before.
2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn’t really have resolutions but rather goals. They weren’t really achieved but the year didn’t exactly go as planned so there was a lot of change.
3. How will you be spending New Year’s Eve?
Games day with the younger two kids and David followed by movies. (Probably asleep by 9h00).
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, my closest friend Ansie passed away.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.

6. What would you like to have in 2024 that you lacked in 2023?
Consistency. 2023 saw a lot of change and instability. I am not a fan.
7. What date from 2023 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The day Ansie died and the day we got an email letting us know Kiara had received a bursary.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Leaving a work situation that was becoming very toxic for me.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not leaving the above situation sooner.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Fortunately I did not.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
We had solar installed – GAME CHANGER!
12. Where did most of your money go?
Still varsity tuition.

13. What song will always remind you of 2023?
I am not sure.
14. What do you wish you’d done more of?
More reading. More time being still.
15. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Stressing over stuff I have no control over!
16. What were your favourite TV shows?
Schitts Creek and Grace and Frankie.
17. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Nope.
18. What was the best book you read?
I did not read a book last year.
19. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Nothing.
20. What was your favourite film of this year?
It was, again, a Christmas movie called Your Christmas or Mine.
21. What did you do on your birthday?
We had a big celebration at Salsa Mexico. It was so much fun.
22. What kept you sane?
Coffee once a week with new friends.
23. Who did you miss?
My family and my best friend.

Never ignore your gut! Pay attention to the red flags.
