An early morning meme

It is really early – my house is silent except for Lucy attacking her bowl. I am busy with the list of goodies I need to get for Jacks party next weekend and saw this meme and just had to add blogging to my list of early morning things.
Both Jenty and Alida did it also 🙂
  • Right now, I am blogging, surfing the net, making a list for Jack’s party and enjoying a quiet cup of tea.
  • I’m currently obsessed with I am not sure – probably the boy’s parties.
  • Cannot live without my family.
  • I’m reading A Rainy Night in Madras – I think that’s the name – it is upstairs and I am not walking all that way right now.
  • I’m listening to Lucy attack her bowl and Jack trying to wake up.
  • Favourite place in Joburg I am not a huge Joburg fan to be honest. I loved David’s old flat in Fourways – it had the most amazing view.
  • Favourite place in SA is the Timbavati. My heart is there.
  • Favourite place in the world well the only place outside of South Africa I have been is France and I hated it so I would have to say again the Timbavati.
  • I’ve lived in Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Pretoria, Joburg, Kruger Park, Timbavati, Pilgrims Rest.
  • Next up on my bucket list is probably making a bucket list.
  • The last thing I crossed of my bucket list – see above.
  • I realized I was an adult when all of a sudden I started receiving “venstertjie” mail.
  • I realized I’d never be an adult when I still phone my mom when it gets too much.
  • In the movie of my life, I want to be played by Drew Barrymore.
  • Best invention since the wheel: the dishwasher.
  • A house is not a home without mess. (Or so I keep telling myself)
  • This week I’m crushing on the printables I got for Jacks party.
  • I’m currently working on a plan to save the world from itself. And in my spare time I am planning 2 birthday parties.
  • I’m really proud of Kiara – she suddenly seems to “get it” – I think Ansie did say that she would – she is doing really well.
  • You’d be amazed if I showed you my scar 🙁 It is long and is no 4 on my left hip..
  • I cannot survive winter without a fireplace.
  • Signature dish would differ depending who you ask. Kiara loves my spaghetti, Cameron likes the fried chicken I do – not really sure where David stands though.
  • Guilty pleasure long baths (which I cant have for the next 2 months *sob*.
  • When no-one’s looking I dont know what I do.
  • In my next life I want to be an elephant!
  • Every morning I am the first one awake.
  • I believe that the children are our future. And also that things do always work out how they are supposed.
  • I’ve really got to work on being more organised.
  • Best advice I was ever given “this too shall pass”.

  1. Good to know!
Organising asloon my list, but it will have to wait for summer! Too cold now!

  2. I also had a chuckle at venstertjie mail. That was quite a defining moment too … my first bill. In hindsight I should have been less excited about it.

  3. I’m reading A Rainy Night in Madras – I think that’s the name – it is upstairs and I am not walking all that way right now.

That made me laugh. Besides that I dont want to walk up and down the stairs, my knees make such a loud creeking noise that Dion asks me why I am going downstairs. 🙂
