A few weeks ago I ran a competition looking for people who are making a difference in the community. It was such a great competition and I received such incredible emails about people doing amazing things within their community.
It was very hard to chose the ultimate winner because each person needs the money but after discussing it with the #brightfutureSA team we finally decided on a winner.
We chose these three little boys from Ermelo.
The Tikly Brothers – Raees(10), Ameen(8) and Nuraz(6), hail from a little town in Mpumalanga, called Ermelo.
Introduced to social upliftment projects from a very young age, they’ve been helping out in their own small way, with projects run by various NPO’s operating in the area. The trio decided, it would be a good idea to establish their own “little organization”, to make a difference in their surroundings. Hence the establishment of “g.i.v.e”.
They have been busy this year with the numerous initiatives mentioned in my previous e-mail. Although their projects are not done on a massive scale, it is an encouraging start. Their motto is – No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted…
Despite tiny obstacles they’ve had to face these little guys have been steadfast in bringing their projects to life and they have big dreams. Amongst their most ambitious projects, is securing funding for a few laptops, to give computer programming classes to kids without access.
Aren’t they just super special? I think the fact that they are so young makes it even more special!
