Online shopping saves the day…..again

Life has been a bit crazy the last few weeks. There has been a lot going on and I have been trying to keep a lot of balls in the air. There has been little time to get to the shops for anything other than whatever we have run out of which has been a bit of a challenge since I have had to plan both the boys birthdays, get a gift for Jack and sort out Father’s Day.

I have had to increasingly rely on online shopping to help me get all the things I have needed over the past few weeks, mainly because it can be done after hours from the comfort of my warm bed. We got both the boys bunk beds recently (all my investigation was done online) and decided it might be nice to get Jack a new duvet set for his birthday for the new beds. I am sure if I had spent the day walking from linen shop to toy shop I would have found what I wanted but it was so much easier to just google the exact one we wanted and order it online. Nothing annoys me more than arriving at a store to find they are sold or don’t have the right size, after you have checked they have it. It was such a seamless process. Google, order, receive! Jacks gift sorted!

It is Father’s Day on Sunday and while I had the best intentions of getting to the mall to search for the perfect Father’s Day gift for David, deadlines came in thick and fast and I just don’t see there being a gap between now and Sunday! So I resorted to a quick google search for the two things David wanted – a wallet and Havaianas flip flops. Fortunately both can be found online and from the same place – double win. So again David’s gift is sorted in three easy steps!

Online shopping does take a bit of fun out of shopping but browsing the catalogues can be just as much fun and it is so much more convenient. I recently I ordered an item of clothing that was too small, the exchange process was so simple that I wasn’t inconvenienced at all!

  1. I Do likeOnline shopping though I battle with most SA sites other than take.a.lot. I did most of my baby shopping online in the U.S. And I can tell you it was fun to just go on, Scroll through, click click click and done!
