If you are happy and you know it, leave a comment!

I had about three blog posts in my head yesterday but I got so distracted with the next #jozimeetup and catching up on blog reading etc etc.that I missed my window to actually write at least one of them.

So this morning I sat down ready to go because I had three options to choose from so I figured it would be a quick thing! WRONG! Here I sit 3 hours later and still NOTHING. I considered the post I had planned about bullying but then figured theirs enough fuel on that fire at the moment BUT there is still a post to come, then I wanted to write about teaching my kids to stand up for themselves but I couldn’t find the words for that. So whats left? Things making me happy so we will go with that!

My Jack! He is super super cute at the moment. He talks non stop and says the cutest things. His observations of the world are just adorable. I love just talking to him. The tantrums are still there but the naughty corner seems to restore order and just the mention of it sorts him out.

My friends. I have had a good friend year. I have a group of awesome people in my life at the moment. Some I see often, some I see once a year but they are all just super awesome and I am very grateful for all of them.

Its nearly holidays. Need I say more? Who isn’t happy about that?

My husband! Just because he is all kinds of awesome.

How cute is this picture of David and Emma? Seriously how flippen cute!

My tween. I am still rather emotional about his sudden launch into all that is a teenager. A few days ago I went to fetch him and he didn’t see me arrive and was busy talking and laughing with a bunch of girls. He looked so happy and confident. I am really enjoying him at the moment.

The warmer weather. I am loving it. We are spending lots of time outside. The kids are swimming. There are braais and wine and cocktails. Its FANTASTIC!

Whats making you happy?

Love the post so positive. There is so much sadness and negative things happening all around us but yip in a nutshell family is definately makes me happy (even with the attitude from an 8 year old and tantrums from the 3 year old). On a different note apparently teens stage with boys is easier then with terrible teens with girls lets brace ourselves

I am happy because Dryland Traverse Trail run (4 days away with my sister and no cell phone reception running in the beautiful Karoo) is less than 3 weeks away and I am happy that this year I know I will actually want to come home again. Last year the thought of staying the bushes was much more appealing.

I am also happy that my business is one year old this week and I have loved it. I have worked harder than ever but it has been great.

I am also happy that Granny is fetch my 4 year old from school today…..

Things making me happy right now…
Kade – like your Jack conversing with him is SO MUCH FUN at the moment. The pearlers he is coming out with have us in stitches!
Gemma – she really is just a little ray of pink sunshine in our home. Yes the teething and no sleep is driving me nuts but that’s not really HER fault…
Cliff – he is THE BEST partner for me EVER. Nuff said.
Being *this* close to hitting my monthly budget and therefore my annual incentive target! I have already spent that money so I HAVE to get the last 500K that I am outstanding. BEST thing is I still have 2 weeks to get it so I am confident I will hit target.

It’s the simple things in life that makes one happy. Family life are one of them, the one thing in life that cost no money. For me, it’s the moments I have with my family, the moments where I have silence before a meet up with a client to sit and listen to mother nature’s sounds. Priceless & happiness.

I’m happy to have an amazingly supportive and fun to be with husband and normal, stable friends who stand by me when things get tough.

It’s kind of funny – I seem to be snappy and irritable a lot of the time lately, even though a lot of things seem to be falling into place at the moment.

I’m happy that we made the jump and ditched our business partners – they contributed nothing and expected to take the bulk of the profits. I’m happy that we were able to get out of the financial mess they got us into and now have our own business with a big deal in the bag and some decent prospects on the horizon.

I’m happy that my boys are happy and close and full of imagination. They are such a pleasure to watch and engage with!

I’m happy that my tween seems to be settling into the budding teen stage without too much angst and seems comfortable with the changes happening in her body, etc.

I’m happy that I’m running again, after a long winter of laziness and then a long rest for an injury.

I’m happy that the holidays are coming soon, too. Not sure if I want to take the time to rest and relax or get busy planning and setting things up for the new year… So much to do!
