Is there anything nicer than a grilled cheese sandwich? I don’t think so!!! It is so simple – just bread and cheese but it is SO delicious. Making your grilled cheese on the braai just takes it up a level.

If you have kids then making piles of braai broodjies is a must – it is also pretty much the only thing my kids will eat at a braai! This recipe isn’t ideal for kids as the chakalaka is a little spicy but is definitely a great option for the adults.

To this day, nothing beats a good grilled cheese and it’s such a versatile sandwich you can get really creative with it. This looks so yummy! The crispier the better!

  4. I have never heard of braai broodjies before, but this sounds like a complete level up from a plain grilled cheese sandwich. I am definitely going to have to try this out for myself.
