Last week was all about Emma’s party! There was crafting and baking and icing and improvising thanks to the heat melting my icing and rice krispie treats.
My kids parties always add more stress to my life that I really think is necessary but I do enjoy all the creativity.
Out and About: Emma’s party was probably the biggest outing we had. It was great fun. A big storm came up suddenly, as they do here in Summer and did mean the party was cut slightly short but over all everyone had a great time. We also ended up at a friends house for an impromptu get together after the party. It was great fun.
Fun at home: There has been a lot of swimming this week. Jack would swim all day everyday if he could. I had to laugh at Cameron last night, he never went to training because he had a cricket match on but as soon as he got home he was in the pool.
Time for me: Emma went to visit her granny yesterday for a sleep over so I have had two mornings to myself. Today I am in Joburg for a workshop which I am excited about.
My happiest moment: I think probably Emma’s party. Being with my closest friends celebrating her first year was pretty special. I have an amazing group of friends who made the day extra special. Also David getting home on Friday morning. We only saw each other later Friday afternoon but knowing he is in the same province makes me happy.
Next week I would like to try: To STOP procrastinating. I have realised that this is what is holding me back from doing things. I need to stop! This week I have got a lot done, not because I am organised but because I am so focused on procrastinating.
What was good about your week?
