This or That - Autumn Edition
The prompt for today was Journal Prompts and I was not sure at all what to write. I don’t really journal, other than blogging so I didn’t really have any prompts. I also didn’t want to just find some random prompts.
Then I read Life As Kim’s post and decided to answer her questions. Even though we aren’t officially in Autumn now, I can still answer the questions!
1. The smell of pumpkin guts OR rotting leaves?
Does anyone find these smells pleasant? I mean could you buy a candle that smells like rotting leaves? Needless to say neither of these smells is great.
2. Sweet OR salty pumpkin seeds?
Definitely salty. I have had some flavoured with different spices and they are really nice.
3. Store bought OR pumpkin patch pumpkins?
We don’t really get pumpkins here – we did one year and I bought some but because of the heat it lasted about 3 days before it went off. If I had to choose I would pick growing my own.
4. Wool OR knit sweaters?
Aren’t knitted sweaters made from wool? But to be honest I am not the biggest fan of wool sweaters. I do have one that I know though – I think it is classified as a knit sweater.
5. Halloween party OR explore haunted places?
I hate the idea of haunted anything or getting scared so I would opt for a Halloween party.
6. Apple pie or pumpkin pie?
Apple pie. I have never tasted pumpkin pie but I am not sure I would like it. I know though that it won’t be better than apple pie. There is nothing like an apple pie.
7. Still, silent nights OR rainy, windblown nights?
Rainy nights without question. We have some amazing storms here and there is nothing like it.
8. Witches OR ghosts?
Witches – I mean Casper is cute but witches are so much better.
9. Raking leaves or climbing trees?
There is something very satisfying about raking up leaves – kinda like vacuuming but in the garden. But then climbing trees is cool too.
10. Ouija boards OR ghost stories around a campfire?
Neither. I would rather just sit around the campfire sipping red wine talking with friends.
11. October OR November?
November because it is closer to December!
12. Black cats OR owls?
This is a hard one. My son loves owls and through him we have seen so many gorgeous owls both in person and in images. So I think owls!
13. Fireplace OR candle light?
Fireplace. There is nothing like sitting around the fire – inside or outside.
14. Monster movies OR their classic novels?
I like to read but some of the classics are pretty boring and not really easy read. I am not a huge fan of monster movies but the movie Monsters was actually pretty cool.
15. Carve OR paint pumpkins?
We carved a pumpkin once and it was a lot of effort – the movies make it look a lot easier. So I am going with paint.

Great answers, Pumpkin pie is an acquired taste, I love it but I’m the only one in my family that do. I don’t like raking leaves or climbing trees 🙂
