Thursday Things1

Oh look its Thursday – AGAIN.

I am going to answer the last few questions today 🙂

Gillian asked “Have any of your children said anything that made you want to laugh out loud hard but knew you shouldn’t?”

Oh yes – all the time. I have been wracking my brain to think of specifics but I can’t :-/ But they are generally when they make some off side comment about sex or when they mirror things David and I have said to them. As they get older they pick up more but often don’t really understand what they are hearing so will ask questions or repeat things that are serious but so funny.

Brigit asked “My question is this : If you could live anywhere (town / country).. Where would it be and why?”

I would still choose South Africa – there are a few places that I simply love – Grayton in the Cape, Kalk Bay and somewhere in the Eastern Transvaal – Hoedspruit or around there. Maybe one day I will have holiday homes in each place 🙂

Fionas questions were “Would you like to have a 4th child?
Where are you planning on getting married?”

Would I LIKE to have a 4th child? NO. I can honestly say I would not like to be pregnant again. I would not like to go through this newborn stage again. But WILL we have a 4th child? Right now it looks likely 🙂

Wedding date is set for the 4th May 2013 but honestly I am seriously considering a bring and braai next weekend – I am desperate to be married 🙂

Angel wanted to know “If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
If you could start your own restaurant, what would it be?
If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?”

My super power would be invisibility without a doubt.

The restaurant question is an interesting one because I studied Hotel Management and still have a soft spot for the industry. I wouldn’t mind having my own restaurant. I am torn with regard to the type though. Even though there are loads of kid-friendly venues around – very few seem to get it right to combine the kid-friendly vibe with good service. So I would like to try and create a place that offers good food, good service AND caters for kids (of all ages) AND people without kids. So often people want to go out for lunch with friends who don’t have kids but it’s tricky finding a place where the two feel comfortable.

As for the circus performer – maybe a fire eater? I have always wanted to learn how to do that 🙂
