There are officially 12 weeks until Christmas TODAY!
Can you handle that!
I am going to be doing a countdown of sorts each week with my favourite Christmas things.
Since teacher gifts are generally the first gifts we have to start handing out I thought I would start with this.
I generally make these gifts myself because the older kids have over 10 teachers between the two of them so I have to try and find cheap but nice ideas for them.
We have done cookies and brownies – both worked so well and I had lots of fun baking them. I collected boxes and bottles throughout the year to package them in so each gift was the same but different.
I love this idea from My Print Boutique. The pot plant is so great if you know the teacher enjoys gardening because then you can add in a packet of seeds or two for her to plan.
These are two very cute and simple ideas. You can take an ordinary item and add a quirky saying on to personalise it a little bit. If asked teachers prefer gifts that can use, so while you may think a hand wash is boring, the teacher may really appreciate its usefulness.
These two ideas are also nice and easy and very useful. I actually think we may give this a try for one of Kiara’s teachers.
Mugs are always a win, everyone uses them and you can buy some plan ones and write your own little message on with some Sharpies or get your child to draw a picture and full them up with some cookies or chocolates.
What are you buying teachers this year?
You can see the links to all of these ideas (and more) on my Pinterest board!

When the kids were in pre-school I really made an effort but those didn’t seem to appreciate as I never even got a thank-you so this year I will write a nice, heartfelt card and they will get Woolies gift vouchers 🙂 because we could all use another pair of flip-flops 🙂

Cameron’s teachers have actually been the best with saying thank you – they pop generic notes in the reports that get sent out at the end of the year – not sure if they pop them into every card or do actually check first that they got a gift.
Such adorable ideas! Love it!
And most of them are so simple!
Oooh! Very clever!
