Saturday afternoon was this months blog girls dinner. It was a braai at Tamaras new house!
It is a STUNNING BEAUTIFUL PRETTY house! One I dream about for the kids and I. Big enough to fit us in but small enough for me to manage. BUT that is not the point of this blog post – although I could turn it into one – it really was a beautiful little house!
The point of the post is how my perceptions of what people would look like differs from what they really do.
I have met a few of the people whose blogs I read and who I follow on twitter – the latest being Tamara. And like ExMi, I pictured her totally different – TOTALLY! She is the tiniest little thing – which if you read her blog you really wouldnt guess – SERIOUSLY!
ExMi was another one who I totally mis-pictured. She is exceptionally calm in person and not as loud as I imagined. I also pictured her totally differently.
Neither of these two post pictures of themselves, like many others, so the picture is one created totally from their writing.
When you meet people for the first time that you have a pre-conceived idea about it does take some time to actually match up the person you see in front of you to the one you chat to everyday from your PC.
Since meeting people in real life I know read their posts and twitter updates differently. I hear their voices and can see their faces telling the stories.
But there have been occasions where I simple can not match the face to the blog. Where the person standing in front of you simple can not be the same one whose thoughts you read daily. It just doesnt match up!
I totally love meeting new people each time I attend a blog girls meet (or twitup). Its so cool to be able to faces to names and blogs – even the ones you cant match up!
Oh and it was indeed another good weekend people! Lots of laughs and happy times!

Glad you had a good weekend. I had some ex drama here but it seems to have passed. You are so lucky to have met fellow bloggers, I never have but it seems like it would be a wonderful experience.

I’ve met some bloggers – single mom seeking, Ts quest, Depot Dad. Yeah, they are differnt in person than I pictured. In a good way!
